What is SafeNet?
SafeNet is an advanced Discord security and moderation bot designed to protect communities from malicious users, spam, abuse, and coordinated attacks. We serve as a security layer for Discord servers, helping administrators maintain safe and welcoming communities.

What We Do

We will never do the following:
- Sell your personal data to third parties
- Share data for marketing purposes

- Track users outside Discord
- Share data with data brokers
- Use data for purposes beyond security
How SafeNet Works - Security Workflow
User Joins Server
When a user joins a Discord server protected by SafeNet, we collect their Discord User ID and basic account information (username, discord id, verification state, server join date).
Verification (If Required)
Based on risk assessment and server settings, users may be required to complete verification (Online verification). During verification, we may collect additional data like IP addresses for anti-VPN detection.
Ongoing Monitoring
After verification, SafeNet continues to monitor for URL-filtering and scanning (if activated) and policy related events. Only security-relevant events are logged.
Action & Recording
If malicious activity is detected, SafeNet records the incident in pseudonymized form and informs the server administrators.
Data Retention & Erasure
Personal identifiable data is erased upon request (except minimal security data as permitted by GDPR Article 17(3)). Security-critical data is pseudonymized and retained only as long as the threat exists.

📊 Retention Periods Explained
*Long-term / Indefinite: Data retained for security purposes is pseudonymized/hashed and kept as permitted by GDPR Article 17(3)(b) for fraud prevention and community safety. Personal identifiable information is removed upon erasure request.
**Permanent for Security Events: Records of malicious behavior are retained in pseudonymized form to prevent ban evasion and protect communities. These records cannot identify you directly.
Erasure Requests: You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. We will erase all personally identifiable information while retaining only minimal, pseudonymized security data as permitted by law.
